I picked up this book after hearing an Astronaut talk about it on the Space Station. It's a thriller in the truest sense of the word. Ernest Shackleton led a team of men into the jaws of frozen death, and then works against all odds to try to save each of their lives. This is a true story that's well worth your time.
I'm nominating this one for the "I never heard of it before I read it but now I'm pressuring all my friends to read it" award.
