Dreams from My Father
I listened to this book in preparation for my interview with President Barack Obama. Doing this made me at ease for the interview because I felt like I had a true connection before I walked up and sat in the seat.
I really enjoyed listening to the words of "Barry" Obama written during a different chapter of his life. At times I could tell the words were written to sound eloquent, and in other times I was taken aback by the brutal honesty. Written before he was in serious consideration for the White House, I think he may have left a few parts out if he knew where his professional trajectory would take him.
The President reads the book himself, and he's actually one of the best voice actors I've come across! My favorite parts are when he does impressions.
